New Workplace for Iconic Australian Organisation

Australian Unity is an organisation that has been assisting Australians for more than 175 years in the areas of health, wealth and wellbeing.

Graphite Projects was selected to manage the refurbishment and fit out of the organisation’s Sydney tenancy in Aurora Place.

The 2,200 sqm workplace designed by Bates Smart includes a high-quality reception area, board room and meeting spaces, 2 breakout kitchen areas, creative collaborative spaces and open plan work areas. The tenancy, which is accommodated over two floors, is also linked by a new interconnecting staircase.

The design included high level finishes, special details, bespoke metalwork and feature joinery. Workstations and accessories were supplied by Unifor.

In order to protect the design intent within the program and budget, Graphite Projects worked closely with the client, architect and specialist consultants to bring the project to successful completion.

Working in an operational environment, Graphite Projects completed the project for Australian Unity over 4 stages with the client being in full occupation during the works.
