Audio Visual Upgrade
The project involved works across 6 different buildings, 23 teaching spaces, 2 lecture rooms and the main Macquarie Theatre. The works included the complete strip out of existing power, data and audio-visual cabling and equipment, installation of new projectors, projector screens, presenter desks, network cameras, hearing augmentation devices, wireless presenters, whiteboards, writable film and carpet and painting makegood.
Lead Time Issues
A number of lead time issues had to be overcome due to the requirement for rooms to be ready for the commencement of Semester One. For equipment that couldn’t be re-specified, Graphite had to ensure they were compatible with the new installation through the utilization of HMDI-VGI adapters, various software upgrades and altered programming methods.
Occupied Campus
The works were completed over the end of year exam and summer school periods. All noisy works, power shutdowns and deliveries had to be booked 2 weeks in advance to ensure no disruptions to students and staff. Open planning and clear lines of communications ensured a disruption free handover.
