Macquarie University E6A & F9C Backfill

Macquarie University engaged Graphite Projects to undertake the refurbishment works of Rooms 213, 214, 215, 221, 225 and 226 in Building E6A and Rooms 109 and 111 in Building F9C of North Ryde University Campus.

The project involved mechanical and electrical services upgrade, specialised lab joinery, Epoxy floor finishes and acoustic ceiling treatment.

Key areas included:

• Extended wet chemistry Lab
• Optical Laser Lab
• Gas Lab

Key features included the supply and installation of chemical and fire-resistant floor materials, chemical resistant joinery, laser curtains and fire rated internal walls.

The fitout of E6A included new pipework or services penetrations through slabs and installation of 2-hour fire rated pipe sleeve, collar or fire pillows as well as fire dampers which required special fire rating certification.
